Dear Members,

Thank you for your patience.  At 4.30 this afternoon, the President received confirmation from the CPVV that Professional Driver Trainers may return to work.

It is important to note that with the easing of the isolation restrictions, some trainers may have concerns about returning to work.  It is your decision to make that call.

When you return to work there is a checklist to follow:

  1. Wearing of masks and gloves is optional
  2. No shaking hands
  3. Ask your client have they been in contact with anyone from overseas, do they have a cough, sore throat, are they feeling unwell?
  4. If your client has any of the above, do not proceed with the lesson
  5. Ask your client if they have an allergy to sprays/wipes.  Your products may affect their health
  6. Keep all your used cleaning products in a secure container in the boot of your vehicle
  7. As Professional Driver Trainers you must have records of your client’s name, date and time of lesson.  Do make sure you record these details.

The ADTAV will have a formal health and safety document for you to have in your vehicles.  This will be available by the close of business Friday 15 May 2020.

We recommend for now that you follow Safe Work Australia’s vehicle cleaning recommendations.

Regards
ADTAV Council
