Dear Members,

The ADTAV is very concerned about the loss of income to members over the coming months.

Following the Federal Government’s announcement yesterday, the Australian Taxation Office has a Sole Trader assistance package called JobKeeper.

Simply register your details on the ato.gov.au site and you will be contacted in due course.  The ATO is experiencing high demand and you only need to register once.

We trust that this will be of some assistance to you.

Notice to Members,

The ADTAV has received updated information from VicRoads Medical Review.

For those Driver Trainers working with Medical Review applicants or with Occupational Therapists we have the following advice:

If your client is having trouble contacting an Occupational Therapist or has self-isolation concerns or issues obtaining any medical reports, then they are to contact the Medical Review number: 9854 2407

VicRoads has been working hard to provide ongoing services to Victorian drivers and does not want any person to have their licence suspended when a simple phone call to them will do.  Depending on the individual’s circumstances, VicRoads has in place strategies to assist.

Government recommendations are to stay at home and the ADTAV supports this recommendation.  There are no restrictions on Driver Trainers at this stage, however we expect this to change shortly.
